Hayley Orrantia is an American actor, singer, and song writer. Many people recognize the character as Erica Goldberg in the comedy TV series 'The Goldbergs'. Even though she sings, her primary passion is music. Music was always her first passion. She began training in professional music when she was twelve. At the age of 13 She began to write herself songs. The first album she released as a cover wasn't released until 14 years later. Since then, there's no looking back. Orrantia has Hispanic origins, but was born in the USA. She's proud of the fact that she has Hispanic origins, even though she was raised in English only and never lived in Mexico. In order to preserve her heritage, she is learning Spanish. She also creates songs using the Spanish language. One of her attempts was the creation of a Spanish track titled "Hasta Verte..' In the summer of 2011, Orrantia auditioned for the debut season of The X Factor. The Orrantia's YouTube video was selected and she received four "yeses" (or votes) by the judges at the Seattle audition. She was originally performing as a solo artist, however in the course of "Hollywood Week" the three female performers were added to an ensemble to go through the auditions. The group was eliminated at the fifth week of live performances.
