Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American actor and singer is extremely well-known. Sara Ramirez was raised with her American mother. She faced a lot racial taunts, which led her to feel unwelcome. It was during her ninth year that she started to feel more confident after being highly praised during an audition. Not only did it boost her confidence but her dreams changed. She was a graduate of New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. In 1993 she had her Broadway debut with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was called You've Got Mail. However her greatest breakthrough came when she starred in the character in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the very first Broadway show Spamalot garnering not only the Tony Award for her performance as well as a lot of critical praise. Later in the same year she appeared on the ABC show Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider acceptance for the role. An accomplished singer and producer, she's produced songs as well as an extended work. Additionally, she works as a LGBT activist.
