Sharni Vison, who is an American-born Australian dancer and actress, was born 22 July 1983 in Sydney Australia. In 2001, she was cast in two episodes in Australian Soap Opera Home and Away. Her performance in that limited part was so captivating that the agent who cast the show wanted her to play the main role in the series. While she tried to play the part, she was not chosen. She was instead cast in the show as Cassie Turner. She is a troubled girl who lives within foster homes. Both critics and fans alike have praised the role. She was the daughter of Aaron Spelling, who worked as a TV and film producer, as well as Candy Spelling. She was raised with Randy, her younger brother. They shared many things in common.
